We offer several shipping options to ensure your special treats arrive on time. Most shipping is via FedEx or UPS. Each order is carefully packaged to ensure perfect arrival. Please check all of your addresses carefully. We cannot guarantee orders for which we are given an incorrect address. Extra charges from our shippers for correcting addresses and processing returns will be passed along to you. We will also provide you with the mailing address changes so you can update your records. If you are requesting a specific delivery date, please make sure you select the appropriate method of delivery. Remember that ground shipping does not include Saturday or Sunday as shipping days. While we always try our hardest to meet your delivery requests, we ask that you select expedited service if best. Also, keep in mind that our carriers are working very hard to keep packages moving during challenging circumstances and can not guarantee on time delivery. Your shipping costs will be calculated based upon the weight of the product ordered, type of delivery chosen, and the delivery location. Actual costs are applied upon checkout. You are given options at check out for the type of shipping service you prefer; ground shipping, 2-Day Air, or Overnight. If you need other delivery options, please call us so we can make the appropriate arrangements. Orders are processed Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Shipping originates in Chicago, so please choose a shipping option that will get your item to its destination on time. We do our best to meet your delivery date request, but we can't deliver any faster than the shipping option you choose.
Shipping around the holidays can be tricky. We suggest adding an extra day or so for shipping during high volume/holiday times. It's always better to be early than late. We make every effort to ship your order in less than 72 hours with the exception of weekends and holidays. We prefer to ship our products during the first half of the week in order to avoid week end transit when at all possible. We don't like the idea of our yummy treats sitting in warehouses or on trucks during weekends. Please be thorough when providing shipping information. Include suite numbers, apartment numbers and floor numbers when imperative to the delivery destination. Incomplete shipping information will delay product delivery and customer happiness. When the temperature exceeds 72 degrees along any point in the delivery route, your item will require cold packing. A melted chocolate gift is no fun and just plain messy. For your convenience, you will see a cold pack option on each product page. The cold pack shipping cost includes the product, an insulated box liner and cold packs. Ground shipping is acceptable within the same zone (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa), however we recommend 2-Day Air or Overnight shipping for further destinations during this time. Please refer to the map for shipping destination delivery estimates. Sweet Secrets Chocolate is not responsible for melted products that are not shipped in this manner. Once your order is filled and processed for shipping, we will email you with the information you need to track your package. Our shipping department also receives notification of any shipping irregularities or delays due to delivery errors or whether related problems. Should that occur, we will contact you immediately.
