What is the shelf life of your products?

Our products are made fresh every week.  We do not keep large quantities on hand because we believe that fresh is best!  Every product is packaged, sealed, and dated for freshness.  Our specialty chocolate snacks typically remain fresh for 3 months if they are kept sealed.  Once opened, we suggest you store uneaten portions in an airtight bag or container.

Do your products need to be refrigerated?

Nope!  Our chocolate has been tempered and can be treated just like you would a candy bar.  If you don’t plan on finishing your yummy chocolate as soon as you open the package, please store the remainder in a cool, dry place, away from sun, heat, and anyone who isn’t trustworthy.

How do I place an order?  

You can place  your order on our website, or you can call 888-690-1336.  You can also send an email requesting that we contact you.

Is it safe to use my credit card?

We use Authorize.Net to authorize, settle and manage credit card transactions for both website and phone orders.  The Authorize. Net payment process provides the complex infrastructure and security necessary to ensure the secure transaction of data.  That means that we do not house an of your credit card information.  That is why we have to capture your credit card number every time you place an order.  More merchants trust Authorize. Net than any other payment gateway to manage their payment transactions securely and reliably.

How far in advance can I place an order?

You can place an order up to 6 months prior to delivery.  Upon checkout, you will be given an opportunity to let us know approximately when you would like your package delivered.  Your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase.

Where do you ship?

We ship anywhere in the continental United States.  We also ship to APO/FPO addresses.  We send many packages to hospitals, colleges, hotels, and large corporations which have mailing rooms or receiving docks.  Some delays may occur in these situations, so you may need to plan for extra time.  We no not ship to Post Office boxes.  If you have any questions or concerns about your destination, please send us a message using the online contact form, email us at CustomerService@SweetSecretsChocolate.com, or call us at 888-690-1336.

How will my order be shipped?

We use the best method possible to ensure your special treats arrive when you choose.  Each order is carefully packaged to ensure perfect arrival.  Please check all of your addresses carefully.  We cannot guarantee orders for which we are given an incorrect address.  Extra charges from our shippers for correcting addresses and processing returns will be passed along to you. We will also provide you with the mailing address changes so you can update your records. If you have any questions about shipping please contact us at 888-690-1336.

Your shipping costs will be calculated based upon the weight of the product ordered, type of delivery chosen, and the delivery location.  Actual costs are applied upon checkout.  You are given options at check out for the type of shipping service you prefer; ground shipping, 2-Day Air, or Overnight.  If you need other delivery options, please call us so we can make the appropriate arrangements.  Shipping originates in Chicago, so please choose a shipping option that will get your item to its destination on time.  We do our best to meet your delivery date request, but we can’t deliver any faster than the shipping option you choose.

We make every effort to ship your order in less than 72 hours with the exception of weekends and holidays.  We prefer to ship our products during the first half of the week in order to avoid wee end transit when at all possible.  We don’t like the idea of our yummy treats sitting in warehouses or on trucks during weekends.

Please be thorough when providing shipping information.  Include suite numbers, apartment numbers and floor numbers when imperative to the delivery distention.  Incomplete shipping information will delay product delivery and customer happiness.  While we guarantee the quality of our products, only you can guarantee the shipping details.

When do I need Cold Pack Shipping?

When the temperature exceeds 72 degrees along any point in the delivery route, we require cold packing.  A melted chocolate gift is no fun and just plain messy.  For your convenience, you will see a cold pack option on each product page.  The cold pack shipping cost includes the product, an insulated box liner and cold packs.  Ground shipping is acceptable within the same zone, however we recommend 2-Day Air or Overnight shipping for further destinations during this time.  Sweet Secrets Chocolate is not responsible for melted products that are not shipped in this manner.  If you have any questions, please contact us.

Can I track my order?

Once your order is filled and processed for shipping, we will email you with the information you need to track your package.  Our shipping department also receives notification of any shipping irregularities or delays due to delivery errors or whether related problems.  Should that occur, we will contact you immediately.

Do you use nuts?

Very few of our items have nut products in them.  However, we do offer a select few that do.  Additionally, some of our ingredients (such as M&Ms) are manufactured in facilities that also handle nuts.  Please refer to our complete list of ingredients if you or your gift recipient have food sensitivities.  We believe it is best to consume responsibly.

How do I break up the Chocolate Pretzel Pizza?  

Remember to read the instructions and keep your pizza in the sealed plastic packaging while breaking it up with the Chocolate-Busting Mallet, which is included in the box.  Don’t be afraid to hit it HARD!  We make The Chocolate Pretzel Pizza tough enough to withstand the bumps of shipping.  The edges break easiest.  The thick chocolate center deserves more attention!
